Webinar:
Measurement of Pesticides in Cannabis

Webinar Abstract:
Analysis of pesticides in cannabis is essential to protect the public health, especially medical cannabis patients. Sensitive and selective measurement is required in order to provide confident and reliable detection of low levels of chemical residues in the complex plant samples. In this presentation we demonstrate the analysis of pesticide residues according to state requirements in both dried flower and cannabis concentrates. Using these techniques, the rapid, robust, and efficient determination of pesticides can be performed. In coordination with state-certified labs, we carried out a market survey of commercially available cannabis products in several states and a summary of the results is presented.
Learning Objectives:
-Understand some reasons why pesticides are used and why testing is needed in cannabis
-Understand the general pesticide testing workflow for cannabis samples
