Collecting Wild Edibles for Treaties Recognition Week
As part of Treaties Recognition Week, we went out on the land in the Robinson-Superior Treaty area, on the traditional and ancestral lands of the Ojibways of Fort William First Nation, with our Bluecoat Dave (Staff Scientist of Indigenous Initiatives) to learn about collecting wild edibles*. If you want to learn more about the treaty area YOU live in visit ontario.ca/page/treaties
*Traditional plant names are in Ojibwe and translated by Bruce Beardy.
