Do Your Cannabis Roots Contain Cannabinoids ?

We are getting down to the roots of cannabis and the question asked in Hash Church today was do your cannabis roots have cannabinoids ?
I will be running our first root samples on the SRI 8610 C gas chromatographs. I will be looking for CBD (Cannabidiol) or THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) to start and later test for CBC (Cannabichromene), CBG (Cannabigerol)and delta 8 .
