How To Make Cannabis Hard Candy using Canna-Sugar

Hard candies were one of the first edibles I tried and have spent the most time refining. I have many different varieties of candy to share in the future!

Here’s Today’s recipe:

Cannabis Infused Hard Candy

Yield:
300+Lightly Medicated Candies (approx 2mg THC Per)

Ingredients:
2 cups Canna-sugar
2/3 cup Corn syrup
3/4 Cup of Water
1-2 tsp Flavouring oil OR 1 (3-ounce) box Gelatin dessert*
1-2 Tbsp of Powdered sugar or cocoa (optional)
*Jello flavouring will cause a gritty texture to the final product. It will also cause a texture shift as the candy ages. Flavouring oil is highly recommended.

Special equipment:
Candy thermometer
Silicone Spatula
Silicone candy moulds

Directions:
Prep all the moulds for filling before starting candy.

In a small saucepan combine all ingredients except flavouring in a medium saucepan. Place on stove over medium-high(never higher) heat.

Place candy thermometer in candy mixture and watch for the appropriate temperature shown on the chart below. DO NOT STIR! Stirring the mixture while heating it causes the final product to have a gritty texture.

Remove from heat and allow to cool until bubbling stops

Stir in gelatin or flavour oil quickly until blended.

Cook’s Note: This sugar syrup is very hot and can cause a painful burn! Have a cup of cool water handy in case of accidental contact.

Pour your candy mixture into the moulds while still hot. Be sure to tap out the bubbles out and flatten the top so every piece is the same size.
*If you place the filled moulds into the oven at 200ºf for a few minutes, it will allow the candy to melt down into the moulds for more even doses.
