► It is a highly divisive issue and the split over the use of medicinal cannabis appears to be growing.
Last year, the government allowed doctors to prescribe the drug for conditions like epilepsy. But today, the health watchdog NICE ruled it should not be routinely handed out, arguing more research is needed to justify its use.
One mother says she has seen the benefits first hand.
