Today’s stock market news:
The House of Representatives passed a delisting bill for China stocks. The Chinese companies could be delisted within three years unless their auditors become supervised. However, finance YouTuber MeetKevin says the risk is likely very low.
The House is also expected to vote on a bill to remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act. This means that cannabis could become legalized. The individual states, however, would still be able to set their own marijuana policies.
The US could immunize one-third of the population within three months. This could protect the elderly, healthcare workers and people with pre-existing conditions first. CVS and Walgreens are gearing up to deliver most of the vaccine doses.
And Singapore becomes the first country to approve lab-grown meat. We’ve already seen the rise of plant-based meat this year. The California food startup Eat Just got approval to sell chicken grown from poultry cells.
