Webinar on Gig economy, data portability & an inclusive labour market
In cooperation with the Swedish Employment Service, Martijn Arets organized an online event regarding the portability of reputation data of platform workers.
First, Lisa Hemph from Jobtech development shared how they look at – and work on – the topic of portability of reputation data for a more inclusive labour market.
Martijn Arets runs a project in the Netherlands from an ecosystem perspective that includes platforms, trade unions, decision-makers, researchers, labor market experts, employment agencies, and more. In this webinar he shares his results and thoughts.
Timm Teubner, professor at the University of Technology in Berlin, talks about his research in the field of “Trust in Digital Services”, where he investigates, among other things, how gigs can move their judgment data between platforms. His research takes a closer look at questions such as: “Do reviews from other platforms improve customer trust? And what impact have shared reviews on a gigger’s online profile?”
Jeroen Meijerink (University of Twente) presents results from his research on how platforms view data portability in the gig economy and the conditions that apply to this.
